“Untrue Believe” is inspired by the Démon de Laplace.
Démon de Laplace is a scientific hypothesis formulated by the French mathematician Pierre-Simon Laplace in 1814, according to which the “demon”, aware of the exact position and momentum of each and every atom in the universe, was able to use Newton’s laws to show the entire course of events in the universe, and their past and future. This theory, however, was eventually disproved by scholars in the later ages. The theme for this collection of design is introduced by such a scientific hypothesis, taking the representative deities worshipped by all people, western and eastern, as the entities of faith, and critically proposing whether or not the justice and fairness we believe are also just hypotheses.
